Restorative Yoga &
Restorative Yoga is a practice that encourages you to slow down and opening your body through passive stretches. In a restorative yoga class, there is minimal movement. Doing a few poses at a time. A trauma-informed class will be a more mindful practice that will be more client-focused.
This class is not like a typical yoga class.
During the long holds in a restorative yoga class, your body is supported by props rather than your muscles holding the pose.
These classes are very mellow. Stillness combined with breathwork is a powerful practice.
This will run as a once a week for 6-week practice.
Meditation is a practice that helps us destress and disconnect from our busy world. We often get caught up in the day-to-day activities that we forget to take it all in. This can cause very overwhelming feelings.
We have so much on our plates now that our mind is constantly thinking of what we need to do next. Whether that be next today, tomorrow, week, month, etc.
Anxious feelings often relate to future concerns, while more depressed throughs come from our past.
Meditation helps connect you to the hear and now. However, when you are first starting it can be hard to do. Letting go of those expectations. Listening to mini guided meditations can help get you started. We can help you out with just that. We upload a new guided meditation each week on our YouTube channel. Be sure to check it out and subscribe.
